Nature’s Reminder (Just A Weed)

Like all life
I started out as just a seed
Then I became something more
Not a rose
But just a weed

Alone in the world
Still with so much to do
I inspire
Ants
Worms
And even the trees too

Yet
If you see me for what I am
I become the mirror image of you

Naked and unable to hide behind dressed up truths
Or planted lies
So with my very own
Everyday
I rise

And even though some laugh
When I tell them
My life matters
Too
I know
That they know
My strength
Because out of concrete
I grew

And yes
I am a glimmer of hope
Exactly what we need
Nature’s reminder
That you can do the impossible
Even if you are just a weed.
